Bookmark this page, then click on the Free Realplayer icon. You may have to browse around the RealPlayer site to find the free version, because they tend to hide it and heavily market their Plus version, for which they charge, of course. Follow the installation instructions, then come back to this page and try out the clips.
Why bother? Well, RealAudio is the only format which allows you to hear just about acceptable music in real time over a dial-up Internet connection. The much advertised MP3 gives better audio quality, but takes ages to download before you get to hear the music.
